Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tax Resolution Specialist at Bernice Hassan & Associates, CPA, in Columbia, MD. This role needs to be in the office for the first 3 months for training and will switch to hybrid afterwards, with four days in the office. The Specialist will handle tax-related issues for clients, communicate with tax authorities, assist clients with tax audits, and resolve tax disputes. Additionally, the Specialist will guide tax compliance and help clients develop tax strategies.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE CPA OR ENROLLED AGENT REQUIRED
• Analytical Skills, Finance, and Claims Resolution skills
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
• Previous experience in tax resolution or related field
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certifications such as Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are REQUIRED. Please do not apply if you do not have any of these certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Provide expert tax resolution advice to clients.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
